Ordering protection with your stakes? You can benefit from discounted stake prices
You can benefit from discounted stake prices when purchasing a similar quantity of protection, where the stakes are required to support the purchased protection. If you are planning to purchase protection too, please use this option to benefit from discounted prices.
Our FSC certified square sawn tree stakes (FSC C160227) offer support for Tubex tree and shrub shelters, NexGen Tree Protection, as well as our mesh guard protection products, whilst providing reassurance that the timber sourced to produce them was done so in a sustainable manner.
All of our FSC certified square sawn stakes are manufactured from responsibly sourced quality softwood timber. Each stake is pressure treated for longevity and is pointed for easy ground entry with the use of a hammer.
Why choose FSC certified stakes?
Choosing FSC certified stakes demonstrates your commitment to sustainability. The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards. With the presence of the FSC ‘tick tree’ logo, you can be confident that using these stakes will not harm the world’s forests.
Usage
You will find that you get a year or two longer out of the 32mm² stakes, as opposed to the 25mm² stakes. If, however, you are planting on an exposed site, we always recommend making use of the 32mm² stakes.
Given that timber stakes are made of a natural material that may contain knots, it is worth allowing for a small percentage of breakages that may occur upon installation. We recommend purchasing slightly more (typically 5%) than the required number to allow for this.
