Delivery

Delivery to UK mainland is included for stock orders over £1500.00 + VAT (subject to postcode surcharges). For full details on delivery please view our delivery page.

If you use this option in error (i.e. without adding the appropriate number of tree guards where stakes are required to support them) we will contact you to pay the non-discounted price.

Our FSC certified untreated hardwood square sawn stakes (FSC C160227) are pointed for easier ground entry with the use of a hammer.

They are manufactured from Robinia, which is an extremely hard, durable, rot-resistant timber, introduced into Eastern Europe from its native North America. Robinia has many strong qualities, lasting well in damp and wet conditions, and is renowned as one of the most durable European timbers.

For information, Acacia looks similar, but is a tropical timber, native to Africa, Australia, and South America. When people refer to Acacia, there is a good chance they actually mean Robinia – which is also known as 'Black Locust', 'Robinia pseudoacacia', and 'False-Acacia'.

They are suitable as a support for a wide range of tree protection, including Tubex and NexGen tree and shrub shelters, plus other protection such as rolls of Mesh Guard.

Note: Given that timber stakes are made of a natural material that may contain knots, it is worth allowing for a small percentage of breakages that may occur upon installation. We recommend purchasing slightly more (typically 5%) than the required number to allow for this.
