Quercus (Oak)
We provide a range of Quercus bare root plants, including Quercus petraea and Quercus robur.
The Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea) is a British native tree, also known as the Durmast Oak. It is often considered to be a better-shaped tree than its near relative, with a longer, straighter trunk, slightly narrower shape and more handsome leaves.
Probably the best-loved British native tree, the English Oak (Quercus robur) is a familiar sight in parkland and the countryside. Its spreading, rugged shape, massive trunk and distinctive lobed leaves have all become a symbol for the British nation, and its seed, the acorn, is a logo for the National Trust.
