A double mesh protector, the Climatic mesh shrub guards protect young plants from animal damage whilst providing a microclimate conducive to growth. A thick diamond mesh structure ensures rigidity and resistance to tearing, whilst a finer mesh helps to create the microclimate.
The wider diameter of the shrub guard – 200mm – offers more space for plants to develop, preferred by bushier plants such as Laurel, Hazel, Dogwood and Holly.
The Climatic mesh shrub guard is available in two heights; 60cm to protect against rabbit and 75cm to protect against hare. All Climatic guards are manufactured from polypropylene.
The shrub guards can be installed using bamboo canes (we recommend two canes per guard) and staples, or with a square sawn tree stake and cable ties. We advise that you turn the upper end of the sheath to avoid friction between the plant and the edges of the sheath, which can be abrasive.
