The ideal way to achieve the perfect habitat for pollinating insects (including bees, bugs & butterflies), the mini meadow wild flower seed consists of a mix of wild flower seeds, soil conditioner and Rootgrow™ mycorrhizal fungi to aid growth.
Suitable for both experienced and new gardeners alike due to the low level of aftercare required, the easy sow pack is available in two sizes; a 500ml pack to cover 3m² and a 1.2L pack that will cover 10m².
The mini meadow wild flower seed can be considered a valuable tool to teach children the importance of bio-diversity in gardening.
The flower seeds contained within the mini meadow mix are all listed by the RHS as perfect for pollinators. The seeds included within the mix are Yarrow, Corn Cockle, Cornflower, Common Knapweed, Foxglove, Viper’s Bugloss, Lady’s Bedstraw, Corn Marigold, Oxeye Daisy, Field Forget-me-not, Common Poppy, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Red Campion White Campion, Salad Burnet and Great Mullein.
Sowing
Ideal for sowing in the Spring or Autumn, simply prepare your ground by clearing weeds and other debris to limit competition.
Rake over an area of 3m² or 10m² (depending on the pack size purchased) to level the soil, leaving a rough surface for the seeds to fall into.
Broadcast the contents of the packet across the prepared area and lightly rake to cover. Keep well watered following sowing.
