Ground cover matting is a stronger alternative to weed control fabric, for use at the base of hedgerows as a weed suppressant. Ground cover matting is essential where no plant protection is being utilised as plants cannot be sprayed if no guards or tubes are used.
The ground cover matting is not restricted purely for use at the base of a hedgerow. It is also ideal for driveways, patios, paths, timber decking, rose & shrub beds, vegetable & fruit beds, flower beds & rockeries, and can be used under gravel, ornamental bark and artificial grass.
Our ground cover matting is a woven membrane that offers great strength and is 80gsm. Even ideal for trafficked applications.
Details & usage
Due to the tough and tear resistant nature of the ground cover matting, you can lay gravel on top, as well as ornamental bark, which will provide a decorative finish.
Ground cover matting should be secured with metal J pegs at 1m spacings to the edge of the fabric.
It can be cut, but the edges may fray. To help reduce this fold the edges over before inserting the J Pegs to pin it down.
