With the 2019-2020 bare root planting season drawing closer, work has recently started to add a sixth warehouse to the British Hardwood Tree Nursery (BHT) premises in Snitterby, near Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Aided by a grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the new warehouse will provide an additional 7,200ft² of covered storage capacity, to improve stock management and further enhance the efficient fulfilment of orders.

The additional warehouse will bring the total covered storage capacity at the premises to 25,000ft², with 3,500ft² of mezzanine flooring.

As part of the development work ahead of the beginning of the bare root planting season in November, three-phase electricity will also be implemented at the premises, allowing for additional growth and development.

BHT, who celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, are a leading name in the UK forestry, farming, estate and landscaping sectors, supplying in excess of a million bare root plants nationwide each season, backed by industry-leading plant protection as a proud Tubex® distributor.
